The official Call of Duty YouTube on Wednesday released its season three ‘Classified Arms’ cinematic trailer for Vanguard and Warzone, which teased the arrival of a Godzilla and King Kong crossover. While this was previously leaked, the contents of this trailer further reveal a small clip of sound resembling “Monsters are real”. A classic Zombies game mode has also been confirmed, accompanied by a full Shi No Numa map.
The crossover was previously leaked around late February when reliable industry insider Tom Henderson reported that Kong and Godzilla were noticeable in Warzone concept art. Now, Call of Duty has taken to Twitter to reinforce a “mysterious frequency” that can be heard as a result of Nebula bombs being released by the Nazis. This is the first time Activision confirms a crossover between the Godzilla universe and Call of Duty Warzone and Vanguard. Season 2’s crossover previously included a Snoop Dogg operator skin.

“With Nebula, the Nazis had unwittingly shaken something awake, something far more powerful and fearsome than anything we could ever hope to comprehend”, the narrator in the trailer said. It is unclear what role the monsters will play, whether it be roaming the map and killing players at random or utilizing them to turn against opponents.
On top of this huge crossover to anticipate, Classified Arms will feature its Season 3 battle pass, new weapons, maps, operators, perks and killstreaks, zombie updates, new/classic game modes, themed events with in-game rewards and bug fixes to look forward to. On April 14, Call of Duty tweeted that round-based Zombies are coming to Vanguard, as well as Shi No Numa being announced as being the next Zombies map. This will be the full map as opposed to a small piece of it seen in Call of Duty: World at War. This classic style of gameplay will take some time to get into players’ hands, however, as developer Treyarch reveals the map is planned for release sometime after Season 3 concludes. Season 3 will arrive on April 27.
