Call of Duty Modern Warfare III Image and Art Leaked

In terms of having a video game leaked, this is arguably one of the more interesting ways we’ve ever seen it happen. A photo showing what looks like Call of Duty Modern Warfare III on a box with Monster Energy attached to it has been leaked online. The image was initially thrown online on Instagram by user algebra_sloth, which was then grabbed by anyone and everyone. The side contains promotional artwork of the title, and one of the main protagonists, Captain Price. The Modern Warfare type font is in line with the previous two entries, which only further fuels the speculation that the image is in fact genuine and we’re all in for an official reveal very soon.

Interestingly enough, the official X account for Call of Duty may have confirmed this by making a rather distinct post. The account hints with the phrase “energy drink” in a very tongue and cheek style. Obviously whoever is moderating the official X Call of Duty account is having a bit of fun with this situation, all without confirming or denying the photos. However, by even making the post at all, this more or less means that the leak is in fact real, and we’re at least in for a Monster Energy collaboration with the next Call of Duty.

If you factor in that the energy drink company is also sponsoring the Call of Duty League for Seasons 2023 and 2024, then this leak only makes more sense. Activision also hinted at this earlier when they mentioned that content from Modern Warfare II will transfer to the next entry for 2023. Normally another studio would launch the next iteration of the long-running first-person shooter series, but all signs point to continuation of the Modern Warfare series, which means that Infinity Ward has been hard at work making both titles, more than likely with some help of the other studios in the Call of Duty umbrella. At the very least, we know it will be multiplatform.
