Those who were waiting on the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II Beta dates, we have some exciting news. Activision has announced when the online beta will commence and it’s coming very soon. The pre-order beta will officially take place during the month of September, while an open beta will be set for the final weekend of the month. However, there’s one major caveat for this. Those who are planning on playing the Beta on a PlayStation system, pre-order or not, will get access first, before the Xbox and PC platforms.

The beta dates is as follows. Those who pre-ordered on a PlayStation device will get early access from September 16-17. Then an open beta for those same PlayStation players will follow right after from September 18-20. Xbox and PC’s Early Access goes from September 22-23, which is then also followed by an open Beta from September 24-26. In addition, PlayStation will also get additional open beta days during Xbox and PC’s beta period, essentially giving PlayStation owners an additional four extra days of online beta play time. Cross-play will also be available during the second beta period, giving PlayStation players the chance to play with Xbox/PC players and vice versa.
According to Activision, the beta will consist of a “robust multiplayer experience going beyond the Core 6v6 experience” and will have different modes and maps to boot. On top of that, the beta will have in-game rewards that players will be able to redeem and use in the main game when it launches. Infinity Ward will be hosting a special livestream dubbed Call of Duty Next, which will take place on September 15 and will offer new information Modern Warfare II, Warzone, and Call of Duty Mobile.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will launch worldwide on October 28, 2022 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/Series S, and PC.
