Call of Duty Mobile Addresses Complaints of Cheaters

In a recent Reddit post, the development team for Call of Duty Mobile (CODM) addressed rampant cheating and laid out their plans to combat it. The CODM community implored devs to take action with complaints of aimbots, wall hacking, and other game mods. Activision plans to further implement their long-standing Security & Enforcement Policy to crack down on cheaters.

This policy details the different tiers of offense and the disciplinary actions that accompany them. There are minor offenses, where no damage has was done to another player or the game community at large. Then there are extreme offenses that cause negative impact other players or organizes large groups of players to commit additional offenses. Hackers or those who use third-party software will face a temporary suspension, and extreme or repeated offenses will result in permanent suspension. Suspended players will be removed from the leaderboards for the duration of their suspension, and won’t be able to access in-game chat.

In their Reddit post, the development team asserts their stance on hackers and boosters, saying “We don’t want cheaters in our game, and we don’t want them ruining your experience, manipulating our systems, and destroying the balance of the game.” They also encourage players to continue to report offenders and will notify them when the offender is punished. Those who report should include the cheaters UID, not just their username, as it can be changed. Some players have been said to experience wrongful enforcement during this widespread crackdown. These players can direct message the games’ social media channels for their situation to be manually reviewed.

In their full Reddit post, the development team also discusses public test servers, upcoming events, game bugs, and more. CODM is set to host a Gun Game Team Fight Mode and Challenge from the 23rd of April to the 30th. Read the full blog post here.
