October 1st will be the official start to Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’s beta access for Playstation 4 and Xbox One. Earlier today in a press release, Activision announced the full timeline for the event.
The multiplayer beta will be implemented over the course of two weekends, beginning 10 AM PT on October 14 for people who preordered on PS4. The first weekend will come to a close on Monday, September 17 at 10AM PT. The second weekend will be open for those who preordered from both Xbox One and Playstation 4 on October 21 through Monday, October 24 at 10 AM PT.
Unlike the beta for Call of Duty Black Ops III last year, the beta will not make its way to PC. Also last years beta did not have Playstation 4 and Xbox One overlap on each others purposed weekends.
As of now there has been no mention as to the date of release for non pre order beta access. In assumption that they plan to follow last year it should eventually open up for all to try it out. There has not been a set list for what will be included in the beta, in the press release its only stated that, “the beta’s content will be announced in the coming weeks, so stay tuned”.
Interesting enough, the Infinite Warfare beta will run alongside Battlefield 1’s Play First Trial, as well as its release on October 21.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare launches November 4.
