Just yesterday marked the return of 115 Day, the annual celebration for Call of Duty: Zombies fans. This year Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has pulled out all the stops for the occasion. Treyarch’s 115 Day blog post highlights new content, community features, ongoing updates, and a sneak peek at what’s coming next in the world of Black Ops 7 Zombies.
According to Treyarch, the next Survival map drops with Season 02, taking place in boss arena set on Mars. Squads will battle waves of undead while earning Caltheris-themed rewards for hitting milestone rounds. Responding to player demand, Cursed Survival becomes a permanent mode. This challenging take on Survival starts players with a simple pistol and minimal HUD, relying on Relics players have collected to survive. At launch it supports four maps, including Vandorn Farm, Exit 115, Zarya Cosmodrome, and a map set on Mars with more to come in future updates. A fan-favorite game type has finally been added permanently. Players must survive as long as possible in the locked starting area of either Ashes of the Damned or Astra Malorum, relying solely on what the starting room has to offer.
The franchise has noted that “Players are spending around 40% of their Zombies time in Survival mode these days, and we’re excited to continue delivering new Survival experiences for everyone between our larger Round-Based Map releases.” So it makes sense for Treyarch to lean into this route that compares itself to the way the original Call of Duty: Zombies was.
While Season 02 launches with new Survival content, Treyarch also teased Season 02 Reloaded, which will continue the story arc and introduce additional round-based content. This ongoing roadmap shows the team’s commitment to steady post-launch support for the mode.
115 Day isn’t just about new maps and modes. Treyarch also spotlighted community creations, including guides and Dead Ops Arcade contributions, and celebrated Zombies culture with other special touches like music collaboration. The Zombies team showcased “Magic”, a new music video featuring Avenged Sevenfold, marking a return of the long-running Treyarch-band partnership in the Call of Duty: Zombies space.
Alongside new content, the blog outlined ongoing improvements such as certain “Augments” that had issues that will receive continued fixes as part of quality-of-life updates. Treyarch continues to listen to community requests, including UI adjustments and more flexible settings for Medal and notification displays, which hints at broader improvements in future updates.
115 Day (2026) reaffirms Treyarch’s evolving vision for Black Ops 7: Zombies. With a blend of new Survival challenges, beloved classic features made permanent, and a thriving community celebration, this year’s event sets up an exciting chapter in the Call of Duty: Zombies saga. Whether you’re a seasoned high-round grinder or a newcomer to the mode, the Black Ops 7: Zombies roadmap offers something to dig into and plenty to look forward to as Season 02 unfolds.
