Yesterday on March 27th, Activision released a new trailer for the new season of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies. Season 3, Shattered Veil, will be released as a free content update on April 2nd, and the Warzone update will remain on April 3rd according to GameSpot. With the new season brings many new updates such as gameplay updates, modes, operators, and maps as well.
There was a news update that was created on the Steam page that goes into more detail about everything players can expect to see in the latest season. The big focus in the trailer is the new multiplayer zombie mode, where players will be thrown into remote hills above Liberty Falls to meet up with S.A.M. at an old mansion that is located in the forest. S.A.M is the player’s only way to help them unlock and unravel the ancient artifact’s mysteries and bring back Agent Maxis.
There will be new enemies added into the new season as well, such as Elder Disciples. The Elder Disciples are roaming around the mansion, and they gain strength as they empower the zombies around them and also summon more zombies. Using their dark magic, the Elder Disciples will be able to help other zombies evolve at a faster rate so that a lowly zombie could rapidly become a Doppelghast. The Elder Disciples will let out a scream as players get close and will become more agitated the more damage they take, so players are advised to kill them as quickly as possible.
Not only will there be the Elder Disciples for the players to fight against, there will be other entities in the new Shattered Veil update such as the Toxic Zombies. According to the news update, “Easily identifiable due to their greenish hue and more skeletal exterior, Toxic Zombies seem to have lost all but their base perambulatory functions and seem intent on sprinting toward their prey before exploding, leaving a damaging pool of acid in their wake. Listen for their telltale shriek and get the jump on them before they can close the distance.”
There is also a brand new weapon, the Ray Gun Mark II. The news update goes into greater detail about the weapon that can be obtained, “Drop multiple zombies at once with the upgraded and modestly unstable Ray Gun Mark II. Recovered from the Dark Aether by Project Janus, this powerful laser armament delivers three-round bursts of energy, can be Pack-a-Punched, and doubles as a bludgeoning instrument if you’re running low on ammunition.”
