Both Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Call of Duty: Warzone will be receiving major updates on July 2nd, according to a press release. These changes are part of the season 04 reloaded, which will bring more maps, modes, weapons, events, and more.
Black Ops 6 will have a number of changes to multiplayer, here two new maps will be added, including a reimagining of a map first seen in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. The first map that will be added is Rolling Hills Distillery in Fringe, and the second map will be the new Eclipse Strike map, which is an Avalon nightclub featuring dance music as well as nefarious deals. These maps are accompanied by cel-shaded map playlists including Nuketown, Babylon, Skyline, Stakeout, and Grind across the 6v6 respawn game modes in CODtoons Moshpit. Party Ops will also be available across all maps except Stakeout. However, Party Ops is a new limited-time free-for-all party mode that will be added, containing a series of mini-games.
Zombies will also be returning to Black Ops 6, marking the return of an incredibly popular mode throughout the Call of Duty franchise. The return of zombies will be accompanied by a specially designed cel-shaded Liberty Falls. A new mode called Abomination Challenge will be added to these maps, which will introduce elite enemies for a limited time. The starting room will also be limited in time, as they’re now all cel-shaded for the return of zombies. Leaderboard events will also be included, allowing players to compete with one another.
Warzone will also be receiving an abundance of new features, primarily the gameplay feature known as care package will allow players the ability to get extra supplies and two new items. The Hand Cannon and Door Barricade will be added, adding another level of dynamism to the gunfights in-game. Looting ability, Loot Master Perk, and Search & Destroy Contracts will be added to the game. The gamemode Resurgence Casual will return to the game along with the gamemode Havoc Royale, with Resurgence even receiving a ranked mode. These game modes will have a fresh revamp on a cel-shaded rebirth island that will release later in the season, featuring animations across several areas of the map.
Throughout all modes, weapons will receive a few changes; semi-auto weapons can be changed into the full-auto variant through the SVD Full Auto Mod and TR2 CQB Auto Conversion special attachments. Two melee weapons, Olympia Special and Pickaxe, will also be available in the game. CODtoons-themed events will also be added, offering new weapons, attachments, operators, themed items, and more. Finally, the store will also include the new Ultra skins, Reactive, and Mastercraft Blueprints.
