Cal Kestis Voice Actor Confirms Respawn is Working on the Next Star Wars Jedi Game

It looks like a previous rumor that Respawn Entertainment is working on another Star Wars Jedi entry is more or less confirmed now. The voice actor of main protagonist Cal Kestis, Cameron Monaghan, confirmed that the studio is already working on the third iteration of the popular series. Monaghan made the reveal during special panel at Ocala Comic Con, where he states that “we’re working on the third one,” to fans in attendance. Interestingly enough, it wasn’t the organizers of the convention who posted the video of this panel, but a random fan in attendance that put it up on YouTube several days later, technically making it a leak for the studio.

To be quite frank, it’s not all that surprising that Respawn is moving forward with another entry in the Star Wars Jedi series. Both of the first two titles were critically acclaimed, and are now considered to be some of the greatest Star Wars video games of all time. In addition, the previous entry, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, doesn’t exactly bring an end to the story of Cal Kestis, without going into any spoilers.

It will be interesting to see where the series goes in terms of story writing as they are now without one of their biggest anchors, former Star Wars Jedi Director Stig Asmussen who left both Respawn and EA just earlier this month. Either way, we’re very excited and happy that we’re going to get a third entry in this amazing franchise that Respawn has built. Now that the project is out in the open, hopefully, the studio will make an official reveal in the very near future.
