Gamescom Opening Night starts off with a bang, introducing the gaming community to a new peculiar title. Build A Rocket Boy, an international independent game development studio and publisher revealed EVERYWHERE, a hotly anticipated multi-world gaming experience at Gamescom Opening Night Live.
EVERYWHERE looks to be an ambitious project, one that the development team behind it holds an exuberant amount of excitement for. EVERYWHERE seeks to provide players an experience “that blurs the line between reality and the digital world.” This upcoming title will set out to blend game play, adventure, creativity, and discovery in an all-new multi-world gaming experience that in Build A Rocket Boy’s words “redefines how players connect with one another and the digital world around them.”
Build A Rocket Boy is headquartered in Edinburgh Scotland, with operations in Budapest Hungary. They are made up of hundreds of the industry’s brightest development talents, and share a vision to “create new and innovative entertainment experiences.”
“Our intent has always been to push the boundaries of what a video game can be while still delivering an innovative player-first experience,” said Game Director and Build A Rocket Boy Chairman, Leslie Benzies. “The team we’ve built and the partners we’ve made since our founding are coalescing around the unique vision we’re bringing to life. It’s exciting to be a part of, and we can’t wait to reveal more about EVERYWHERE in coming months.”
While the teaser trailer didn’t show much content, what was shown only deepens the mystery around the game. With how ambitious this title is setting out to be it will be interesting to see how exactly the game would play, thankfully we won’t have to wait long. EVERYWHERE’S is set to be released sometime in 2023. That might seem like a ways away, but with how eager Build A Rocket Boy is about their first major project, its expected that they’d share more details about the game in the coming months.
