A new narrative experience has been teased by btf Games. The first teaser trailer for the upcoming game The Berlin Apartments was launched on Thursday. According to the press release, The Berlin Apartments is an episodic character-driven first-person adventure game. There are eight episodes that make up the game, each with entirely separate stories and characters through over 120 years in Berlin.
Players initially take the role of a handyman that unearths relics of the previous inhabitants of the old apartment he’s tasked to refurbish. He retells their stories to his daughter, and will uncover more mysteries to the apartment the further he digs.
The Berlin Apartments’ game director Hans Böhme, shared his excitement for the games first ever trailer.
“We’re really excited to unveil The Berlin Apartment to the world with our debut trailer,” said Böhme. “We’ve got lots more to share in the future when it comes to the variety of genres and stories you’ll be diving into and how that impacts on what you are doing with the game. For now, we’d like to embrace the spirit of the game and leave you with a bit of mystery…”
Btf games is an independent department of the German btf GmbH production company. Since the studio’s establishment in 2017, the studio published the adventure game acclaimed German adventure game Trüberbrook and is currently working on other gaming projects including The Berlin Apartments and Constance.
The Berlin Apartment is set to release on PlayStation and Xbox consoles and PC, through Steam. The release date is still unknown. Those that are interested can Wishlist it now.
