Borderlands 3 Worldwide Gameplay Reveal Connects Streamers And Their Audience With Interactive Loot Events

Tomorrow is a big day for Borderlands fans who have been waiting for more information and visuals since the reveal trailer dropped for Borderlands 3. At 10:00 AM PDT gamers’ favorite streamers from around the world will be showing off what the next installment has to offer and giving their first hands-on impressions. The hundreds of Twitch streamers will be able to stream from their own feeds and the developers will be broadcasting the entire event on the Borderlands Twitch channel.

The worldwide gameplay reveal is accompanied by an extremely new and unique feature that will create some of the most interactive experiences to date on the streaming platform. The Borderlands 3 ECHOcast Twitch extension rewards streams’ audience members who have linked their Borderlands SHiFT and Twitch accounts. The extension “will let you interact with livestreams of Borderlands 3 in a bunch of fun ways and even get a head start on assembling your in-game arsenal ahead of the game’s September 13 release.”

While watching the many great streamers like KingGothalian, SchviftyFive, or Professorbroman having the extension enabled will allow the audience to glance through the streamer’s loadout. Their backpack items and current skill tree loadout will be completely available to view while they play. To enable the extension, simply click on a small Vault icon at the bottom of the Twitch video player screen. It will then move to the left side of the screen and will expand all of the streamers’ Vault Hunter Profile along with their items and stats.

The most impressive interactive feature in the ECHOcast extension is the rare chest events that will occur. These will afford audience members a chance to receive the exact same in-game loot that the streamer finds in rare chests. Once the current streamer that someone is watching opens one of these chests, chat members will only have 30 seconds to opt into the event and will automatically scale to their level when it is eventually retrieved from the in-game mailbox. Winners will be notified and will give a choice of which item from the chest to receive with a time limit of another 30 seconds.

For more information on the ECHOcast Twitch extension visit the event’s page or join the Vault Insider Program, a VIP group where players can earn points that will be redeemable in Borderlands 3.
