The second of the expected four character trailers for Borderlands 3 was released today. The latest trailer follows Moze the Gunner alongside her trusted mech companion Iron Bear in a short called “The BFFs.” Now that we know a little bit about Zane the Operative, it’s time to find out about the battle-hardened soldier fresh off her final mission. You can check out the trailer below.
Moze is a former soldier for the Vladof Army, promised a discharge in exchange for one last mission. When the assignment turns out to be a suicide mission, the rest of her squad is wiped out, leaving just her and Iron Bear as survivors amongst the wreckage. Per the agreement with her superiors, Moze and Iron Bear ditch the brass for the wasteland, relying only on each other for survival.
Like Zane, we get a glimpse into the ability set of Moze in the video. In addition to the sheer destructive power of Iron Bear, the mech has some equipable goodies through the use of Moze’s skill tree, which you can check out here. As a part of the Demolition Woman skill tree, Moze is able to hop out of Iron Bear to keep fighting while her BFF continues shooting for a period of time, running in and self-destructing once time expires. Though we only get to see its culinary prowess in the video, Iron Bear can utilize the Salamander flamethrower to roast the enemy so well, Gordon Ramsay would be proud. All in all, Iron Bear seems like a badass piece of tech, and Moze sums it up perfectly: “When your BFFs is a BFG, you don’t need anyone else watching your back.”
Borderlands 3 is set for release on September 13 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Once again, Gearbox has hidden a SHiFT Code in the roses (5JWBB-9ZX9J-B636C-BBBBT-ZCWXF) which unlocks the Community Day skin for Gaige in Borderlands 2 and 5 Golden Keys.
