After celebrating the 10-year anniversary of Borderlands with several events such as the Rare Spawn Hunt, Gearbox Software has released a new trailer for the next event for Borderlands 3, Bloody Harvest. The event starts later this week on October 24 and will run through December 5. To participate in the Bloody Harvest, players will have needed to progress far enough in the story to have unlocked Sanctuary III.
Originally announced in September, the Bloody Harvest event has players traveling to a new location called Heck by taking on new Haunted enemies and collecting Hecktoplasm. Haunted enemies cause a Terror debuff that reduces the field of vision and makes aiming more difficult. Once they are in the new area, players will also have to fight Rakk-O-Lanterns and go toe to toe with Captain Haunt.
Rewards for Bloody Harvest include new cosmetics, a new ECHO device skin, a global weapon skin, a new shield, a new grenade mod, and two new weapons, one of which is called the Fearmonger. Unlocking these items is done by completing a new set of challenges that are exclusive to Bloody Harvest. Cosmetic items are unlocked by completing a certain number of challenges. Enemies in Heck will drop gear that is only available during Bloody Harvest. Other weapons will also play with the Terror debuff.
