Blumhouse Productions has been working with significant horror game developers, and with their announcement that they are in the works with shooting FNAF movie this year, more keep coming. Behavior Interactive announced they would partner with Blumhouse and Atomic Monster on a Dead by Daylight movie. “We’ve always considered Dead by Daylight to be a celebration of the horror genre – on which Jason Blum and James Wan have made significant marks – and we truly couldn’t be happier to announce this exciting partnership,” stated Behavior Interactive’s press release.
James Wan, CEO of Atomic Monster, states, “In Dead by Daylight the Behaviour team has created a love letter to the world of horror, building an incredible environment teeming with atmosphere and terrifying villains — perfect for a scary cinematic adaptation. We’re big fans of the game at Atomic Monster, and are thrilled to be teaming up with Blumhouse to bring this frighteningly visceral world to the big screen.” However, both production companies still seek a screenwriter and a director. According to Behavior Interactive’s announcement Jason Blum, CEO of Blumhouse Productions, is “determined to find the perfect fit.”
“There are so many fans of Dead by Daylight out there and think it’s imperative we find someone who appreciates and loves the world as much as we do, to help us bring the game to the big screen. We know our partners at Behaviour and Atomic Monster will help us bring the best version of this game to life,” said Blum.
As of now, there is little information to come out yet. The current list of Producers is James Wan, Jason Blum, and Stephen Mulrooney. Executive Producers are Behaviour Interactive’s Rémi Racine, Atomic Monster’s Michael Clear and Judson Scott, Blumhouse’s Ryan Turek, and Striker Entertainment’s Russell Binder. Blumhouse Productions has been increasingly working with gaming companies and have recently announced Blumhouse Gaming and the merger with Atomic Monster.
