Blood & Truth Blasts Into Launch Day On PSVR

Today marks the launch of yet another launch of a game for PlayStation VR with Blood & Truth. Highlighted in the first PlayStation State of Play alongside a host of other titles, Blood & Truth aims to immerse players in an action-packed spectacle inside of the stunning underworld of London. Sony London Studio’s latest will try to make headset wearers truly feel as if they were in a blockbuster action movie with non-stop clashes and danger around every corner.

Taking on the elite soldier, Ryan Marks, players must destroy any part of the criminal underworld to save his family from a vicious underground organization. Blood & Truth will pack in the over-the-top stunts and attacks so that every kill, rappel, and mile driven is as exciting as a modern day, exaggerated shooter.

Players can choose to use either the PlayStation DUALSHOCK 4 controller or two MOVE motion controllers as they shoot their way through mobs while an orchestral soundtrack buzzes in their ears. Just some of the insane moments that have been listed on the game’s PlayStation Blog include: catching an enemy grenade and throwing it back, dual-wielding weapons, reloading a gun’s magazine in midair, giving hand gestures in-game, pistol-whipping thugs, using “teeth” to pull a grenade’s pin, and much more.

With many VR games these days, the question comes up of whether or not DLC, or rather quality DLC, will be supported. London Studio has stated from their day one launch that Blood & Truth will be supported by the developers with free DLC to follow the launch. This will eventually add online leaderboards, a Hard Mode, separate attack and score challenges, and New Game+.

The scores referenced are accumulated from actions while playing and scored based on how long levels take. Other game items such as gun skins or mods are earned by grabbing Stars, which are found by hitting a certain mission score, finding collectables, or taking out a hidden target.

It’s great to hear a developer so excited to be behind a VR game past launch with Blood & Truth, out today.
