Season One for Midnight will come a couple of weeks after launch, pulling the story forward through a host of new content. This includes:

  • The Voidspire Raid: This six-boss raid is the beginning of the capstone for the story we’re telling at the start of Midnight.
  • The Dreamrift Raid: A smaller one boss raid encounter.

Patch 12.0.5 will come to the game shortly after the launch of Midnight. It will bring in Void Assaults which will appear across the outdoor world, adding in new enemies, new reasons to rally to defend Azeroth, and new rewards along the way. Prop Hunt is also coming during this time. Teams of five will face off against each other with one side digusing themselves as innocuous props to hide within the environment and the other trying to seek them out.

Patch 12.0.7 adds further escalation of Void Assaults and introduces one boss raid with Sporefall.

Patch 12.1 will be the first major content update for Midnight. A new zone with maximum level cotent, new raid, and a new season an updated Mythic+ dungeon Pool, new PvP and Delves rewards will be added along with the expected refinements that would come from a major content update. 12.1 also overhauls the Friends system.

Patch 12.1.5 is adding a new game mode that Blizzard hopes will add more flexibility and experimentation to help support that passionate community around Delves. The new feature is currently called Labyrinths and is aiming to be a more bite sized experience for those who love Delve gameplay.

Labyrinths are inspired by mega-dungeons and will be large, sprawling experiences that players can tackle all at once or a bit at a time. These will have a different form and reward structure compared to Delves currently but retains the core elements of exploring and besting foes alongside Delve companions.

There is also a small boss raid ecounter coming to this patch. This will act as a continuation f the narrartive and serve as a bridge and set the stage for the next major update the following year. Later in the yeaer, there will also be a new stand-alone event t from the same wizards who brought you game modes like Plunderstorm or Remix. More will be revealed  at a later date. The new mode will exist alongside the core World of Warcraft game.
