Binding of Isaac DLC Release May 10th, With Wii U Launch To Follow

Previously reported, popular rogue dungeon RPG The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth DLC is getting its highly anticipated release for both Xbox One and Playstation 4 this coming May 4th.

Initially, and still today, an independently created game, BOI: Afterbirth has faced its fair share of press (and infamy) lately–what with the rumored Wii U release (more word on this in bit–good news, luckily!), Apple slapping a big rejection on the game for iOS launch (due to “depictions of child abuse”), and finally when the developers announced the production of their newest game The Legend of Bum-Bod.

The DLC will be available for download and purchase at the price of approximately $11 USD, with a Wii U edition to follow very soon.

With this new content, players will see 100 hours of brand new gameplay, including risk/reward oriented system Greed Mode, as well as 120 plus new items for players to discover and play around with. Developers are also throwing in a grand total of 8 new bosses, a slew of new room layouts and designs, and an alternative soundtrack for everyone to enjoy. Lilith, famous and well loved Mother of Demon, will also be an all new playable character.

Sadly, the game will not (at this point, who knows about the future) be getting the Nintendo 3DS release fans have been eagerly coveting.

Both North American and European fans can enjoy The Bonding of Isaac: Afterbirth DLC for the Xbox One and Playstation 4 for the fairly affordable price of $11.00 (mind you, UDS) starting May 10th, 2016.
