Bethesda Celebrates The Release of The Evil Within 2 With Charity Event

This Friday the 13th, Bethesda will release The Evil Within 2, the highly anticipated sequel to their 2014 hit. To bring awareness to the release, as well as do some good, Bethesda has created “The Good Within” event, which will help raise money for the American Red Cross.

Throughout October, Bethesda Softworks will match all donations up to $15,000 dollars, meaning that if they hit that goal, they will be raising a minimum of $30,000 for the American Red Cross. Donations to the Red Cross go towards feeding, housing and healing people who have been affected by the numerous disasters that have struck America this year. In 2016,  the Red Cross of America was able to offer 4.1 million meals, 2.1 million relief items, provide 206,000 overnight rooms, 144,000 health consultations, and reunited 9,900 families in 36 countries.

Of course, Bethesda is doing more than just raising money, they are also raising awareness of the Evil Within 2, pairing the Good Within event with a marathon of streamers playing the game before it’s released to get the word out about the fundraising event, and gain hype for their new game.
