Bethesda Brings Free Content to Dishonored 2 and Death of the Outsider Years After Release

It has been over three years since the release of Dishonored 2 and over two years since its creative sequel, Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, released. However, Bethesda is dropping surprise free content for each of the titles. After a random tweet, Bethesda posted a detailed description of the content on the Dishonored website.

To claim the new modes, all owners of the two games need to do is log in to their Bethesda.net accounts on each game’s main menus. Firstly, players will receive an initial bonus upon entering their cabin in the Dreadful Wale. This gift has been deemed the Imperial Assassin’s Pack, which was the original pre-order bonus from years ago that all players will finally have access to. The Imperial Assassin’s Pack includes the Void Favor bone charm, the Duelist’s Luck bone charm, 500 bonus coins, an in-game guitar for Emily and Corvo to both interact with, and some lore with the in-game book titled “Goodbye, Karnaca – A Musician’s Farewell.”

Another piece of content, or new visual mode, is the Black and White mode that will be available for both games. Everything in the games will appear in a “moody” and noire-like style with the blood still showing as red. This can be toggled by players at any time if they wish to revert back to the original visual styles. Check out Bethesda’s example picture that they included on their website:

Additionally, developers are including something called “Mission+.” This will allow players to travel back to any time period in each game to already completed missions in the main campaign stories. But this time they can utilize all of their acquired powers and weapons instead of being restricted to what they had at that point in time during the mission.

Dishonored 2 and Dishonored: Death of the Outsider are both available for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
