Two of Bethesda’s upcoming, highly anticipated games have been delayed to 2023. Redfall is an open-world co-op FPS from developer Arkane. Starfield is the first new universe in 25 years from Bethesda Game Studios. Redfall was originally set to launch during the Summer. Starfield had a release date of November 11, 2022.

Redfall blends single and multiplayer options seamlessly, allowing the player to venture into the darkness of Redfall, Massachusetts which is under siege by a legion of vampires who have blocked out the sun and cut the island off from the outside world. Players can choose from a diverse roster and group up with up to three friends for four-player co-op.
What makes Redfall vampires different than other iterations is that they were created after a scientific experiment went horribly wrong and are continuing to evolve. After their transformation, some vampires have developed powerful abilities. Human cultists who worship the vampires are also enemies that players will have to face.
Starfield is set amongst the stars, players can create any character they want and explore with unparalleled freedom as you embark on an epic journey to answer humanity’s greatest mystery.
We can’t wait for you to play Starfield, but we need some more time.
We’re so thankful for all the support and encouragement and are excited to show you the game soon. https://t.co/8YIDwmDeOq

On Twitter, Bethesda said “The teams at Arkane Austin (Redfall) and Bethesda Game Studios (Starfield) have incredible ambitions for their games, and we want to ensure that you receive the best, most polished versions of them. We want to thank everyone for their excitement for Redfall and Starfield. That energy is a huge part of what inspires all of us every day and drives our own excitement for what we are creating.”
Here at Arkane Austin, we’ve decided to delay the launch of Redfall. The team needs more time to bring the game to life. Thank you so much for your continued support. Bethesda also teased what’s next for both games. “We can’t wait to share our first deep dive into the gameplay for both Redfall and Starfield soon.” Recently, Xbox announced that the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase is set for Sunday, June 12, so we’ll most likely see both games during that presentation in a few weeks.
