Over the weekend one of the most anticipated shooters this year, Battlefield 1, suffered a massive leak that released a ton of information about the upcoming game. According to Gamespot, the info came from the Battlefield 1 closed alpha. From characters to missions, to multiplayer maps, all were announced thanks to Reddit user Lobix who data-mined the alpha.
In the screenshots Lobix posted, it was shown that the game will have seven episodes total, which includes a prologue and an epilogue. Each episode has between one and four chapters a piece.

Lobix also revealed the names of some of the characters from the game: Pritchard, Mcmanus, Finch, Townsend, and Edwards. Most likely this isn’t the entire cast of the game, but they could very well be the leads.
From the looks of it, Battlefield 1 will also have an impressive armory for people to play around with, including a class called “Behemoth Weapons”. The list also has a class of weapons designed for the addition of horseback combat. A list of gadgets was released as well which lists various flavors of grenades, first aid equipment, ammo crates, and a gas mask.
All of this will come in handy during multiplayer where players will have access seven different modes including Rush, Team Deathmatch, Breakthrough, Domination, Possession, Conquest, and Air Superiority. There was also something called “Behemoth” which could be another mode or the name of something the player can control during a multiplayer match.
Players will be able to play these game modes on the ten different multiplayer maps the game is reported to include. The maps themselves touch on some of the bigger battles of World War 1 like Argonne and the Italian Coast.

Dog tags will be making a return as well and as you expect they are rewarded for doing things like playing a match online or playing the game through EA Access Play First trials. Some of the more notable exclusive Dog Tags are awarded to players you went to real life Battlefield 1 events and who “completed the ‘Road to Battlefield 1′ missions in either Battlefield 4 or Battlefield Hardline.”
Battlefield 1 is slated for October 21st on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. However, fans can play the game on October 18th if you buy the Early Enlister version of the game or sign up for EA Access.
