It looks like Nintendo Switch owners will have to wait a little bit longer to get their hands on the Batman: Arkham Trilogy. Warner Bros. Interactive Media has announced that the three-title collection for the Nintendo system has been delayed until December 1. It was originally set to launch later this month on October 13, making the delay a little less than two months. The official X account for the series made a post that explained the delay was necessary in order to “bring players the best possible experience on Nintendo Switch.”

The trilogy was announced for the Nintendo Switch during the Nintendo Direct in June 2023. It did not receive it’s initial release date until a couple of months later in August, before the delay announced this week. The ports for the Switch, which is being developed by Turn Me Up Games, are the three entries in the popular Batman: Arkham series, all of which have been released on multiple home consoles as well as PC up to this point. The first title, Batman: Arkham Asylum, launched in 2009 while the sequels, came out in 2011 and 2015 respectively.
It also comes with all of the DLC that was released for each title respectively, which only increases the overall package’s value. For those purchasing the trilogy as a physical copy, it will only have the first entry, Batman: Arkham Asylum on the cartridge. The other two, Batman: Arkham City and Batman: Arkham Knight will need to be downloaded directly from the store. Thankfully, the delay is not long and Nintendo Switch owners will still be able to play the trilogy before the end of the year. Meanwhile, the original developer of the Batman: Arkham series, Rocksteady, is still hard at work on Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, which is slated to launch next year on February 2, 2024.
