So, the second season of the hit anime series One Punch Man has been hitting off really well. And during the second season, a lot of things have been happening. Well, things outside of the anime. Just last week One Punch Man and Oasis Games Ltd. announced that there was an official licensed mobile game known as One Punch Man: Road to Hero coming out that would have the story take place during the second season and fighting off the iconic villains from the show. And now, One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is coming to console and PC:
Working with Bandai Namco, One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is the next game to be added to the One Punch line-up. It doesn’t specify if it lines up anywhere in accordance with the anime, but it’s more of a fighting game, rather than an RPG.
One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows features 3v3 battles where players can create powerful teams using characters from the universe the game is built around and in. This includes Saitama, Genos, Mumen Rider, Hellish Blizzard, and Speed-O-Sound Sonic. They will all feature moves that are from the anime that they sport as well as some moves that are based on their get up. It is nice to see Mumen Rider just throw his bike as an attack. Though it does bed to wonder how Saitama’s one punch that he’s known for (and the anime is named after) will fair in a battle. Instant win? Possibly.
Aside from the current reveal of the characters in the trailer, the game has yet to reveal how many characters will end up joining the roster. There is a bit of a tease of Lord Boros, the main villain from the first season, so he could be teased here as one of the characters to be added down the line.
There is no set release date, aside from “coming soon”, for One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows. However it is confirmed to come out for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
