Avengers: Endgame wrapped up the Infinity Saga of the Marvel Cinematic Universe back in April and Marvel’s Avengers doesn’t release until next May, so what can fans of the Avengers do in the mean time to fill that void? Luckily, Marvel has teamed up with ILMxLAB for a brand new Avengers VR experience set in the MCU titled Avengers: Damage Control which is coming to select cities starting next week.
In Avengers: Damage Control, players will go to a Wakanda Outreach Center where they meet the genius Shuri who is currently working on developing the brand new Emergency Response Suits. However, while things may seem good to start out, Doctor Strange soon interrupts needing help to face a returning threat. Players will then have to suit up in the Emergency Response Suits, and join up with the Avengers to take this threat down.
Players will then go across numerous locations from the MCU alongside the iconic Avengers from the film franchise. Not only will players be joining the MCU Avengers, at least some of the cast will be reprising their roles in this VR experience. This includes Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, and Evangeline Lily as Wasp. Other Avengers seen in the trailer include The Hulk, Spider-Man, War Machine, Falcon, and Black Panther. However, it is unknown if the actors will be returning for those roles in the experience.
Avengers: Damage Control is describe as “a world that’s half virtual reality, half real-world set pieces, and all-around MCU,” so excited fans are sure to enjoy this MCU experience. For those interested, you will be able to experience Avengers: Damage Control in multiple different cities including New York City, Atlanta, Santa Monica, and Downtown Disney District in Anaheim, California starting on October 18 for a limited time at The VOID locations.
