Koei Tecmo‘s action game based on the popular anime series Attack on Titan is getting a sequel based on the show’s second season simply dubbed Attack of Titan 2. To many fans delight the publisher recently gave the announcement that the game will be arriving to consoles as well as PC next year in March, however an exact date has not yet been given.
In addition to the release window announcement Koei Tecmo also confirmed a list of playable characters from the series that will be featured in the upcoming sequel: Eren Jaeger, Mikasa Ackerman, Armin Arlert, Levi, Miche Zacharias, Nanaba, Gelgar, Ymir and Christa Lenz. They also revealed that players will be able to create their very own custom character called Scout. Details on a new features in the game were mentioned as well such as the introduction of a new tool called the monocular, which will let players view and analyze Titans from long distances either for strategical purposes or just for some interesting sight seeing.
The publisher gave some insight about Attack On Titan 2’s social features during a live stream saying that relationship building is an “important element” of the sequel and the key to providing information of the character’s involved within the game. Players will be able to “deepen their relationships with fellow comrades by training and preparing for battle with the new and improved Town Life gameplay.” Attack On Titan 2 will be releasing for the Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch sometime in March of 2018.
