Atlus Hosts Launch Party for Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden Release for Modern Platforms

“Welcome to the Velvet Room, this place exists between dream and reality”, a phrase Persona fans are familiar with across all the games. Atlus revealed a while back that Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden will have a port release for the Nintendo Switch. The titles which were previously released for PlayStation 2 and PS Vita will now be available for fans to enjoy on their Nintendo Switch. In celebration of this event,  Atlus announced on Twitter it will be hosting launch parties in Los Angeles and in London for the release of these games.

According to the London event page, venue locations will be set up and created into themes from the games, mainly the Velvet Room which is the reoccurring setting in the Persona games. While the Los Angeles and London event had slight differences in their events, they both model venue based on locations from the game. In the London launch event, fans will enter the venue and will have a chance to get themed drinks and food. In another section, there will be a set up of the Velvet Room for Tarot readings. In the game, the main protagonists are given a Tarot reading prior to their adventures starting. Although the reading is the same due to gaming programming having it set that way, fans will have the chance to be given a Tarot reading and learn what the cards have to say about them.

In the Los Angeles event page, the Velvet Room will be set up as a lounge for dancing and drinking. “Every day’s great at your Junes.” The slogan for the shopping center Junes will make an appearance here. Just as the characters in the game shared meals and bonded together at Junes, fans will be treated to themed food and drinks in the Junes-themed section of the location. Fans will also be treated to a show at midnight, an allusion to the Midnight Hour.

Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden will be available on all modern platforms January 19, 2023.
