Asteroids Recharged: Arcade Edition Is The First Ever ‘Recharged’ Full-Sized Arcade From Atari, Costs $6,499

Atari and Alan-1 have teamed up once again for the first-ever ‘Recharged’ full-sized arcade from Atari. Asteroids Recharged: Arcade Edition is based upon the classic arcade title that was released back in 1979. This new version packs in more action and features to stand out for today’s arcade scene. Pre-orders are available until August 26 and will begin shipping September 15. Asteroids Recharged: Arcade Edition costs $6,499.

Some of the new features for the first-ever ‘Recharged’ full-sized arcade includes mechanical haptic feedback devices, real arcade controls, Major League Esports tournaments, and improved gameplay.

The gameplay interacts with real haptic feedback devices such as large and small shaker motors, flashing LED lights, fans, and a pinball knocker. Players can earn Major League Esports League points with every high score in daily, monthly, and special event tournaments. Players can play local co-op with individual scoring.

Asteroids Recharged: Arcade Edition will boast a real arcade quality 4K 32″ HD monitor. Players will be able to experience the feeling of large and small shaker motors, fans, and a pinball knocker that is set to fire in sync with in-game events.

The LED lights frame the monitor, are inside the player’s control buttons, and three other diffuser locations with bright and beautiful LEDs that change colors in sync with the gameplay.

The cabinet will feature leg levers and wheels for easy setup and transportation. With a flip of the game settings mode switch located inside the cabinet door, players can view game analytics, test controls and mechanical devices and update game settings such as number of lives, difficulty, ticket redemption options, and more.

Players will be able to setup and manage their cabinet and their arcade with the Alan-1 Operators app, for iOS and Android, allowing players to remotely see the analytics of their cabinet, the best players, and any reported issues that need addressing.

Players will enjoy the new software updates to the Asteroids Recharged: Arcade Edition game software when they are made available for free forever with internet connectivity.
