Comic-Con 2014 is fast approaching, and one of the attractions that will be present will be an Assassin’s Creed: Unity demo and Q&A. Additionally, an animated short based on the game made by Rob Zombie and Tony Moore will be screened.
The announcement on the Comic-Con site reads:
Learn about how the blockbuster Assassin’s Creed franchise has been re-imagined for the next generation of gaming. Meet mysterious Arno, the new hero in Assassin’s Creed Unity, learn more details about the game, and be the first to hear about new announcements for the Assassin’s Creed franchise! Rob Zombie and Tony Moore (The Walking Dead co-creator) will be debut [sic] an animated short inspired by Assassin’s Creed Unity. Meet and ask questions from the team behind Assassin’s Creed Unity.
Rob Zombie is best known as the leader of Grammy-nominated heavy metal group White Snake. He has also directed several horror movies, such as 2003’s House of 1000 Corpses and the 2007 remake of Halloween and its sequel. His music has also been featured in games like Twisted Metal and Gran Turismo 2.
Tony Moore is a horror and science fiction comic book artist whose credits include the first six issues of The Walking Dead and The Exterminators.
The pairing of two artists primary known for their horror-themed work to work on a decidedly non-horror themed title is unusual, but then again the Comic-Con announcements states that the animated short will be “inspired by” rather than “based on” Assassin’s Creed: Unity.
The event will take place on Friday, July 25 from 2pm to 3pm.
