Assassin’s Creed III Remaster Apparently Coming To Nintendo Switch

Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation Collection is apparently coming to the Nintendo Switch according to listings that appear on multiple Czech eshops. This was first noted by a Reddit user on r/NintendoSwitch. This is certainly interesting news considering the regular edition of the old Assassin’s Creed III appeared on the Wii U. The version coming to the Nintendo Switch, the Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation Collection, is a remastered version of Assassin’s Creed III as well as Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation, which originally released for the PlayStation Vita.

While there isn’t a specific release date or rating announced yet for the Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation Collection, a certain German retailer states that it’ll be releasing on March 29, 2019. This matches up for the March release window for the Assassin’s Creed III Remaster that has been announced. For those who aren’t aware, the Assassin’s Creed III Remaster will also be releasing for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One through the season pass of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. While the Assassin’s Creed III Remaster has literally just been called the “Assassin’s Creed III Remaster” by Ubisoft since its announcement, its likely that they’ll start calling it Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation Collection in either a standalone release or once we get closer to the release of the remaster itself.

In other news for fans of the series and those who have been following Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, it seems like Ubisoft has acknowledged the misstep they took with “Legacy of the First Blade, Shadow Heritage” DLC. For those not in the know, there was quite a stir thanks to the lack of choice that players were given at the end of the second chapter of the DLC. To put things into perspective about how bad the situation got, it only took a day for Ubisoft to release an extended apology.
