Arms, the Nintendo Switch’s exclusive fighting game will be receiving new update as well as a possible new character. In a new trailer shown below there seems to be a glimpse of a new version of Spring Man. However, it is currently unknown if this will be a new character all together or if this is a hint to the game receiving character costumes.
But what is currently known is that the new update will be free for all players and bring about a sparring level, as well as badges that the player can unlock when they complete certain challenges. These challenges can range from completing your first Grand Prix or playing a certain amount of matches with a single character. Although the update is set to be coming later this month Nintendo has not yet given a pinpoint date on when it will be arriving.
The previous Arms update included the new character Lola Pop and the two stages: Sparring Ring and Via Dolce. Nintendo has been adding on new content to the game since its launch in June. The company released free DLC containing the character Max Brass along with a set of all new training exercises. Whether it be a new addition to the roster or just the introduction of costumes for characters we won’t know what Nintendo has up their sleeves until the update goes live. In other Nintendo news the company has reportedly increased production of the consoles to 2 million unites per month in order to meet demand, particularly in Asia.
