The next free title in the rotation of free games coming to the Epic Games launcher will be releasing tomorrow, June 11th at 11:00 A.M. EST. The previous free game, Overcooked, is still available for download, but today is the last day that the game will be available for free. The newest collection of the classic fighting game series Samurai Shodown will be releasing for free first on the Epic Games launcher, then later on Steam, PS4 and Nintendo Switch consoles for $39.99 later in June. The Samurai Shodown Neo Geo Collection will include all six titles from the series and will include a completed copy of the unreleased Samurai Shodown V Perfect game. SNK announced in the spring of last year that the collection would be releasing for all consoles, but there has yet to be a listing for a release on Xbox consoles. The collection will be available for free download on the Epic Games store until June 18th when the game officially releases on other platforms.
According to an Epic Games ad on Facebook, there is also another free release planned for this week. The multiplayer-survival game Ark: Survival Evolved will be getting a free release on June 11th along with the Samurai Shodown Neo Geo Collection. The dinosaur-themed survival game will only be available for free until June 18th, then the game will go back on sale for $49.99. Ark: Survival Evolved was initially planned to release for the week following the free Borderlands: The Handsome Jack Collection, but due to protests the game was delayed by the developers. To make up for the delay, the Epic Games Store will be releasing the two titles at once for free, and players will be able to claim both until June 18th.
