Dragon Ball FighterZ developer Arc System Works has announced that they are working with Japanese game director Hidetaka “Swery” Suehiro, who helped Access Games bring Deadly Premonition to life, to create a brand new title that is set to be coming sometime this year called The Missing.
“The title, The Missing, has many meanings, A missing person, someone who’s lost, or even something lost. Maybe it’s your loved one…or a place you belong. Do you ever feel lost in your everyday life? The Missing is for someone like you.”
This new title will be the very first game developed in house by Suehiro’s studio White Owl. He also stated that Arc Systems Works has been very supportive and allows him to really pursue his vision. Although they will be taking on this new project Suehiro stated that his team will still be devoted to created his other title The Good Life, which will be going through another round of crowdfunding this March.
From first glance, not much is given away about what The Missing might truly be or what platforms the title will be available on. However, Arc Systems Works website does state that the title is expected to launch sometime in 2018 so it shouldn’t be too long before we get a look at what the game truly is.
All Suehiro stated at this point was that, even though they couldn’t reveal much information today, “Frankly, this title will blow your mind. I think it’s sick. I’m confident it will exceed your expectations, so please stay tuned.”
