The NPD Group an American market research company, has released their video games sales report, broken down by gaming industry analyst Mat Piscatella, for April 2019—revealing what consoles, games, and accessories topped the industry in the U.S. that month.

Looking at games sales, Mortal Kombat 11 was the best-selling game for April, and is currently the second best-selling game of 2019—just behind Kingdom Hearts III—for now. Mortal Kombat 11 is also the best-selling game on every platform it’s been released on (PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch) for the month, making it the first third-party game to be the Switch’s top-selling title for a month since Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle in 2017.

The second best-selling game for April 2019 was Days Gone, which has achieved the seventh largest sales ever in its launch month for a Sony-published game. Since its release, it’s become Sony Bend’s best-selling game ever. MLB The Show 19 came in third in sales for April, though it remains the best-selling sports game of 2019 so far, as several large titles are yet to come, such as FIFA 20 and Madden 20.
