An announcement trailer has been released for an upcoming game titled Police Stories 2. The game is yet to receive either an official release date or even a year. Police Stories 2 will be both developed and published by HypeTrain Digital and is confirmed to be available on Steam once it is released. It is unclear as of now whether it will be released on consoles such as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, but considering that the first iteration of the franchise was released on those consoles, it would certainly not be a surprise if Police Stories 2 was released on those consoles. Regarding the original Police Stories, it was also developed and published by HypeTrain Digital, and received mostly positive reviews from gamers. As for Police Stories 2, it is described as a violent, realistic, co-op, and tactical game that obviously has a focus on police activities. Going into more detail on the game, HypeTrain Digital said:

Command the grittiest precinct in town in Police Stories 2 – a brutal tactical top-down shooter where arrest is the goal, force is the last resort, and every decision has an outcome.

The announcement trailer was noticeably short, with it lasting only 27 seconds. The trailer did not appear to showcase gameplay, but had a birds eye view camera angle, which was similar to the gameplay of the original Police Stories and what is expected for the next iteration. It showed two officers approaching a building, with what looked to be criminals inside. Having two police officers approach the building could also be a reference to the co-op aspect of the game. At the end of the trailer it said that the full trailer will be released later this month. In terms of reactions on social media, most gamers who saw the trailer are excited for this upcoming game, and pleased with the trailer.
