Announcement Trailer Released For Dishonored 2

A new announcement trailer has been released for Dishonored 2. Bethesda and Arkane Studios announced that New Game + and custom difficulty will be added to the game in a free update that set to drop sometime next month.

The trailer, called Play Your Way, features creative director Harvey Smith as he walks the viewer through the features the update has to offer.

Smith says that the goal of the developers is allow players to their game improvisationally.

Lead director Dinga Kababa says that the Way-to-Play philosophy allows for player freedom to play the way that they want to play.

You need to allow the player to do what ever he wants. He needs to be able to sneak. He needs to be able to fight. He needs to be able to steal, look through key holes, climb.

Smith says that the players need to play at their own pace.

It’s not about going left or right or right on top of the building. Possessing a fish and swimming on in the river. Using combat or stealth; being violent or not killing anyone. It’s about the moment-to-moment; the feeling of when something happens, it’s the direct result of your actions.

One instance of Way-to-Play is when you see the people being shot by firing squad. Some players can walk right past them and pretend nothing happened. Some people will choose to be stealthy and loot the dead bodies when the characters are out of the way. Some players may come to the defense of those being shot.

While it is important to proceed through the story, Smith and Kababa want make sure that the player can proceed through the story in which ever way they want to.

The patch that was recently released has fixes for the PC game. The problems with the PC version was that is was exhibiting major issues with frame rate and mouse sensitivity. It’s recommended that PC Dishonored 2 players instill gaming software giant Nvidia’s driver 375.95 while AMD users should stick with 16.10.2 drivers.

The game is also available on PS4 and Xbox One.

No matter how bad the team is, I will always rep them.
