SelectaPlay has officially unveiled the physical editions for Anima: Gate of Memories I & II Remastered, bringing the cult-favorite action RPGs to PlayStation 5 in a lavish physical package. Set in the mythic world of Gaia, drawn from the Anima: Beyond Fantasy tabletop universe, the remastered collection combines both games into a definitive experience — and offers fans a chance to own it in two distinct physical formats, according to a press release.

The Standard Edition offers a more traditional route, bundling the remastered duology on disc along with a full-color manual, but the real showstopper is the Collector’s Edition: an oversized treasure chest of lore-soaked extras. From a beautifully illustrated art book to a keychain modeled after the Anima logo, every piece is steeped in the franchise’s mysticism and visual richness.

Included in the Collector’s Edition are a soundtrack CD, premium art prints, exclusive pins and character cards, all housed in a collector’s box adorned with custom cover art. It’s the kind of edition that speaks not just to series veterans, but to anyone with a soft spot for high-fantasy worldbuilding and classic action RPG design.

Anima: Gate of Memories I & II Remastered serves up two intertwined stories. In the original game, players control the Bearer of Calamities — a young woman entangled with a demonic entity bound to her soul — as she delves into an unfolding war in the shadows. Its counterpart, The Nameless Chronicles, shifts perspective to an immortal warrior cursed to walk the world in search of redemption. Both narratives are tightly interlinked, refracting each other’s events in a world where memory, identity, and power are constantly in flux.

The remastered collection features enhanced visuals, improved performance, and refined balancing built specifically for PlayStation 5. Players can instantly switch between playable characters or channel the Hand of Tanathos — a devastating, death-infused mechanic that tilts combat in powerful ways. Fast-paced action, deep customisation, and a richly interconnected map design ensure that exploration and combat alike reward investment and mastery, which can be seen in the trailer.

Pre-orders for both editions are now live through select retailers, with Collector’s Edition quantities strictly limited. For those who missed the games the first time or want to relive them in their best form yet, this is the chance to own the ultimate edition of Anima — one built for collectors, action-RPG fans, and lovers of fantasy storytelling.

Anima: Gate of Memories I & II Remastered launches later in 2025. Watch the reveal trailer now, and follow SelectaPlay across social media for future updates.
