Minecraft and Angry Birds were two of the biggest gaming franchises to be released throughout the 2010s. Angry Birds took over the mobile platforms and Minecraft was dominating on consoles. Now, the two are officially teaming up to bring Angry Birds into the world of Minecraft.
The DLC Pack will be available in the Minecraft Marketplace and lets players purchase the Angry Birds. The DLC essentially creates a new game within Minecraft that allows players to enter the world of Angry Birds, but with the blocky world of Minecraft.
In the pack, players will receive missions that revolve around saving other birds from Angry Birds’ evil pigs. These missions can also be done in the pack’s Co-Op mode which lets players work with their friends. The Co-Op mode gives an opportunity for players to complete missions with their friends, or they can choose to play in the game’s “classic mode”. This mode will let players fight the pigs in a style that is much more similar to the class Angry Birds games.
The DLC pack will be available in the Minecraft Marketplace for 1340 Minecoins, which also comes out to about $10. The pack is developed by Orville Studios, who work specifically in creating content for Minecraft. Orville Studios worked with Rovio Entertainment to bring the DLC pack to the game.
Minecraft has previously brought DLC collaborations into the game, but the collaboration with Angry Birds is by far the biggest they have done so far. As other companies collaborate to bring more content, fans should expect Minecraft to continue developing new and exciting content into their own game!
