Today game developer Frictional Games has announced that the new Adventure Mode for Amnesia: Rebirth is now available on PlayStation consoles. The mode had previously been only available on PC but now will be available through a free update on both the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5. For newcomers, Amnesia: Rebirth is a survival horror game where players make their way across a desolate desert.
In Amnesia: Rebirth players step into the role of Tasi Trianon as she wakes up in the desert of Algeria missing many of her memories. Players would usually try to survive in the harsh desert while doing their best to avoid terrifying creatures, however, the new Adventure Mode changes the game fundamentally. In Adventure Mode, much of the horror in the game is toned down, with the monsters and scary effects being removed, and many areas in the game being brightened. This mode is intended to provide a greater focus on the game’s narrative and its puzzles. Adventure mode also includes a number of new bonus puzzles that provide more content to those wanting to try it out. Those who have been intrigued by the story and visuals of the Amnesia series but have been put off by the horror game elements should definitely try this new mode.
Amnesia: Rebirth’s new Adventure Mode is now available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Owners of the game are able to download the new mode for free through Steam, GOG.com, and the Epic Games Store for PC, and the PlayStation Store for both PlayStation consoles.
