American Truck Simulator is adding Missouri to their list of states available. Nebraska and Arkansas are also in the works for the game. The developers have already published several other states, as well as a lot of customization DLCs allowing the player multiple different types of trucks and surroundings to work in. The most recent state to be released is Kansas, however Oklahoma, Utah, and other states are available to purchase. The Kenworth T680 2022 is the most recent customization DLC available, which is the 100-year Special Edition to honor Kenworth’s continuing legacy.
Missouri offers a vast amount of industry for the player to be a part of. The St. Louis Gateway Archway will be featured. This DLC is the first one in American Truck Simulator to feature the Mississippi River, according to a post made on the developer’s blog. Besides urban landscapes, the player will have the chance to see the Ozark Mountains and the rural countryside. The blog post states that “From the bustling city life of Kansas City to the serene landscapes, Missouri captivates with its unique charm and promises a journey marked by historic sites, such as Mark Twain’s birthplace and a taste of authentic American culture.”
The main goal of the game is to have the largest transportation company in the United States. According to their website, the game showcases the greatest trucks the United States has to offer. With multiple DLCs based completely on trucks, the game immerses the player into the full trucking experience. American Truck Simulator showcases the beauty of the United States through the graphics used in the multiple states available to the player. Even though it came out in 2016, the developers are creating new content and updating old content for the game.
American Truck Simulator is available on Steam. The Missouri DLC does not have a release date.
