Amazon’s Luna Cloud Gaming Service Launches In UK, Germany and Canada

Amazon’s Luna Cloud Gaming service is making its way to the United Kingdom, Canada, and Germany. The cloud gaming service was first announced in 2020 and has since been launched in the US since early 2022. Confirmed in recent blog post, Amazon gave an overview of all the features Luna has to offer its new audience.

Those who are subscribed to supported services within Amazon be it Amazon Prime or Luna+ will have access to an assortment of titles. Amazon Prime subscribers will be offered a revolving catalog of titles to choose from while a Luna+ subscription will give subscribers access to the full library of games. Additionally, Ubisoft+ Multi Access members in the UK will now receive Luna support, which includes access to Ubisoft and Luna games across multiple devices. Jackbox games will also be available on Luna, within a separate Jackbox subscription.

Luna also gives subscribers the ability to watch or stream games themselves on Twitch through PC, Mac, or Fire TV.

“With Amazon Luna, we’re making gaming easier and more convenient by offering instant access to console-quality games on devices customers already own,” said Eric Saarnio, VP of Amazon Devices International. “Gamers in the US have been enjoying Luna for the past year so we’re thrilled to now expand the service to customers in Canada, Germany, and the United Kingdom.”

Luna subscribers on supported services can access their games via PC, Mac, iOS, Android, Amazon’s Fire tablets and TV, and selected Samsung Smart TVs, helped by a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connectable controller. Prices in the UK for a Luna+ subscription is set at £8.99 per month, £14.99. for Ubisoft+ Multi Access subscription, and £3.99 for The Jackbox Games subscription.
