Amazon Games will release Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles on July 31, 2026, and Luna is the only place it will be playable. The announcement was made on July 23, 2026, at San Diego Comic-Con, during the panel for the second season of the Batman: Caped Crusader animated series.
Four people can play at once as detectives attached to Gotham City police unit that answers to Batman as well as the police department, with Renee Montoya leading them. The game breaks into 11 episodes, each with its own task. One might involve pulling prints off a surface, another decoding a message, another reassembling a shredded map or cutting the right wire before a device goes off. Questioning suspects is a constant aspect of the game. The enemies come from the actual show. The Joker is in it, voiced by the actor Prime Video cast for the animated series’ second season. So are the Music Meister, Lynx, the Dollmaker, Babyface, Scarecrow, and the Tweedle brothers. Hamish Linklater plays Batman and Michelle C. Bonilla plays Montoya, both carrying over from the series. Matthew Needam plays the Joker in both the show and the game. More casting is promised before the month ends. J.C. Connors, who runs Amazon Game Studios, tied the release to the series directly, describing it as arriving “in tandem with Season two.”
Nobody needs a gamepad, because the Luna app turns a phone into one, and since the game streams, there is nothing to install. That arrangement is the entire premise behind GameNight, given to Prime subscribers at no charge. Luna is available on Fire TV devices, select Samsung and LG TVs, iOS and Android phones and tablets, and computers, including Chromebooks. Amazon also announced that Prime Video on Fire TV in the US and UK is officially integrating Luna games into its lineup. This puts the game and the series side by side in the same app. The service has also drawn criticism recently for revoking access to games customers had already bought, a point several outlets raised in their coverage of the announcement.
Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles arrives July 31 on Amazon Luna, the same day the second season begins streaming.
