Yesterday, the third character trailer for the upcoming Borderlands 3 was released. The newest trailer, called “Looking for a Fight,” revolves around Amara the Siren and her search for a worthwhile brawl. You can check out the trailer below, and be sure to check out the previous trailers on Zane and Moze as well.
Amara the Siren, while seemingly another lone gun like Zane and Moze, stresses her moral code in her search for a worthwhile fight. “I’m always looking for a fight. A fight for justice. A fight for what’s right.” However, with the amount of fame she has accrued doing this, it can sometimes be a little tough to find an opponent who actually wants to fight her, most taking the easy way out and running away. According to Borderlands lore, only six sirens can exist at any given time, giving Amara a ticket to an exclusive club that comes with a hefty intimidation factor.
As a “hero to the people,” Amara is held in high regards, so much so that she is basically a celebrity, with the abilities to back it up. The trailer showed off some of Amara’s killer moves in which she can bring the pain to the Psychos and ne’er-do-wells who look to do harm to the people she protects. One such ability is her Phasegrasp action in which she traps an enemy in a sphere from a giant fist, allowing her and her team to light them up unimpeded. Another allows her to surround herself with elemental power, dash forward, and absolutely demolish the unsuspecting enemy in her way with a powerful melee attack. Finally is one of Amara’s more identifying abilities, where she materializes six additional arms for six times the smackdown. Players looking for the heavy hitter of the characters should look no further than Amara the Siren.
While Gearbox did include the regular SHiFT Code at the end of the trailer (WJ5TB-BJSZJ-TFB6W-JTJJJ-3Z3CB), unfortunately, it was the same one that appeared at the end of the Zane character trailer, unlocking Krieg’s Community Day Skin and 5 Gold Keys in Borderlands 2. Players who have already claimed the loot after the code’s original release will not be able to use it again.
Borderlands 3 is set to release on September 13 on PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
