Techland’s long-awaited title Dying Light 2: Stay Human finally released earlier this year and the developer has been making sure that the title is up to date with patches and quality of life updates. However, this doesn’t mean that they’ve forgotten about the previous installment that kept them going for all those years in between releases. To this end, Techland has announced in a tweet that those who own the standard edition of the original Dying Light will be automatically upgraded to the Enhanced Edition of the game for no extra cost.
Great news! 😍 Starting today, every player that owns the Standard Edition of Dying Light will be automatically upgraded to the Enhanced Edition.#DyingLight pic.twitter.com/jmSfQ3RkCd

In order to access this edition and all of the DLC that comes with it, players need to launch their copy of Dying Light for their respective system and then select the “‘DLC Packs” from the menu. This will immediately start a download for all of the extra content that is included in the Enhanced Edition. This special edition of the game was originally released in 2016 and includes the storyline expansion pack The Following, as well as four pieces of content. This includes The Bozak Horde, Crash Test Skin Pack, Ultimate Survivor Bundle, and Cuisine and Cargo.
For those who still have the original 2015 release and have not purchased any of the aforementioned extra content, this is easily one of the biggest reasons to fire up Dying Light and play through it once again. This is also a very nice thing for Techland to do especially considering the work they’re currently doing with Dying Light 2: Stay Human and all future DLC. Keep in mind that this is not the next-gen upgrade that was released this past March for the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X|S. That one allows users to choose between three graphical options as well as other bells and whistles made for the newer generation of consoles.
