Now that Quantum Break has gone gold and is ready to ship what is Remedy going to do with its new found wealth of free time, maybe make a sequel to Alan Wake?
A couple of weeks ago we reported that Remedy’s Creative Director Sam Lake said that the studio’s ideas for an Alan Wake sequel were getting better but they still had no plans for a new game, but that might have changed.
Found by NeoGAF, it appears that Remedy has registered trademark for Alan Wake’s Return with the OHIM which handles trademarks for the European Union.
It’s worth noting that at the end of the DLC for the first Alan Wake Alan began writing a book called Return.
On a another note, GameInformer reported that anyone who pre-orders Quantum Break digitally for the Xbox One would also receive a digital copy of Alan Wake and its two add-ons The Signal and The Writer along with the semi-sequel/spin-off Alan Wake’s American Nightmare for free.
It looks like Microsoft knows that fans want another Alan Wake game and since it published the first two maybe Microsoft will be persuaded to publish a third.
