Agony Getting a Sequel with Succubus Announcement

After releasing the survival horror game Agony this past May, it looks like Madmind Studio already has a spin-off planned to make it a series of sorts. This is the case even after Agony was met with its fair share of mediocre ratings and reviews by the gaming community. Several days ago Madmind posted a “Concept Gameplay” video on Agony’s YouTube channel showing the thinking behind the upcoming Succubus. It appears to be just as dark and hellish as the first title with the video containing very mature content that is age-restricted. Check out the announcement for the game by the studio below:

Succubus centers around a character with the same name who was introduced in the previous game. She is described as “a wild and lustful demon” by the developers and even had her own playable story in Agony UNRATED. It seems that her bloody story will continue after those that rule over Hell have all but disappeared, leaving the Succubus to follow in her quest for revenge. From what the concept video shows it appears that the events in Succubus will start just after where Agony left off.

Players will take control of the demon in Madmind’s latest horror title, which is a genre that they are used to with games like Agony and Paranoid, the latter being released just last month. Unlike the first game, Succubus will stray away from solely using possession skills and will allow the players to be more proactive in the combat. It will include weapons, armor, a skill tree, and of course, gory boss battles. How much we will see the playable character from Agony, Nimrod, is unclear.

While a specific release date has not be announced, it’s expected that Succubus will be available for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC since Agony was available for all of them.
