The last time any rumblings of a new Batman game happened, it was during Batman day earlier this year where WB Montreal posted teaser of what appears to be The Court of Owls, who may be the villains of the game. Now, Youtuber SLCMOF tweeted out that the next game Batman: Arkham Legacy will be revealed at The Game Awards on December 12.
SCLMOF is the same leaker who brought to light the canceled Batman: Arkham Knight sequel that would have had players play as Damian Wayne, Batman/Bruce Wayne’s son. He says that “this information comes from the same guy that provided me with leaked images from the canceled Damian Wayne Batman game YEARS before they leaked to the public. He is very reliable, although nothing is 100% and the same goes with this scoop as we will discuss tomorrow.”
WB Montreal’s tease involved the slogan “Capture the Knight, where numerous logos appeared on a video celebrating Batman for Batman day. One of the logos looked similar to The Court of Owls logo. Further evidence proving that The Court of Owls will be involved came from Scott Snyder, the comic writer who created The Court of Owls.
Another leak about Batman: Arkham Legacy suggests that this game would allow players to play as other members of the Bat-family such as Robin and Batgirl. If this is all true, then it won’t be long before we get our first look at the next Batman title during The Game Awards 2019. Recently, the nominees for this year have been revealed with Control, Death Stranding, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Resident Evil 2, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and The Outer Worlds nominated for Game of the Year.
