A PlayStation State of Play is Coming November 11th

Following the mostly quiet month of October, Sony announced a new State of Play airing on Tuesday, November 11th at 2pm PT. The message was delivered through their social media accounts, with additional information made available on their official blog site. The State of Play will focus on games in Japan and all across Asia, leading to much excitement among fans and speculation as to what information will be revealed during the event.

Expectations have been set high for this event given the exciting reveals made in the previous PlayStation State of Play in September. With the clues fans have received so far, many of hopeful that they will receive updates on games such as Resident Evil Requiem or the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3Other than the massively anticipated titles, Sony has also announced that there will be multiple indie game showcases as well, leaving the door open for exciting new reveals.

The event will last over 40 minutes, and while most of the information will be focused on gaming news based in Asia, Sony has also promised that other “exciting updates” are in store. The event will be hosted by Yuki Kaji, a famous voice actor that has worked with video game franchises multiple time in the past. He has voiced multiple characters from the Pokémon series and Phoenix Wright from the Ace Attorney series in the past. The event will be broadcast in Japanese on the Japanese PlayStation YouTube account. English-speaking viewers on the PlayStation YouTube channel will receive subtitles.

The State of Play season is a thrilling time for many gamers, with the quality of the news in the event often dictating gaming hype and discussion long after it ends. As usual, there is plenty of room to be disappointed or pleasantly surprised, but the variety of content teased and the long runtime should give everyone something to look forward to on Tuesday.
