A trailer for a new installment of the Scott Pilgrim franchise was announced by Tribute Games at Summer Game Fest 2025. The game will be titled Scott Pilgrim EX, and it will launch in 2026 on PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC. The game will have the option to either play with up to 4 people offline, or in online co-op.

This will be the second Scott Pilgrim video game and the first since Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, which released in 2010. In the trailer it was mentioned that their will be 7 playable characters, along with countless creative combos, and a Toronto that is full of secrets and chaos to solve and encounter. It should also be noted that the 7 playable characters are said to each have a unique skill or skills that the user can utilize when playing. It is also clear from the trailer that the game will have a retro atmosphere and style, with most of the gameplay looking like it will be in 2D format, and the game is said to be non-linear, allowing players to explore Toronto in whichever timeline or pace they would like.
