The Ultimate Madden Bowl has crowned a champion. Henry Leverette has won the championship with a score of 35-24. The runner-up was Wesley Gittens. These two met back in 2022 in the same situation, with Henry prevailing. This rematch had even higher stakes, with Wesley wanting to beat Henry. The championship took place in Las Vegas, just before the Super Bowl bringing a lot of attention to it. The event got Lexus for their sponsor.
Henry is the first “Madden Millionaire” making this tournament even more memorable. Henry battled previous champions to earn his spot in the title championship. Besides the claim to fame, Henry also won the first Ultimate Madden Bowl championship ring and $250,000. Henry dominated over his opponents in each of the rounds. He has been on top of the leaderboards since the start of the season.
Wesley was seeded 10th in the competition, but was able to earn his way into the finals. He ended up beating the 2nd seed, JonBeast, in the second round of the competition. He nearly made it in with a close score of 38-35. To get into finals, Wesley had to battle the 11th seed (Fancy) who beat the 3rd seed (MrFootball88) with a score of 27-24. While Wesley had a good underdog run, he ended up getting beat out by Henry.
There was a million dollar prize pool for the Ultimate Madden Bowl. The payout was as follows:
- 1st: $250,000
- 2nd: $150,000
- 3rd and 4th: $100,000
- 5th – 8th: $55,000
- 9th – 14th: $30,000
Madden ’24 also awarded the MCS Positive Play Award to Greg Allen (SL1ME GHOST). Greg demonstrated the best sportmanship and honorable play during the championship. This was announced a few days after the championship on social media.
The Ultimate Madden Bowl is available to view on YouTube and Twitch. There was exclusive Twitch drops for viewers. YouTube also has exclusive drops which players could of collected by connecting their EA account to their YouTube account.
